Well written, full of drama, love, magic, romance, fears, action, mystery, history, twists and time travel. Alana is from the future who travels thru time. She is considered a runaway bride in her time. Finding that she did travel thru time and travel back in history to the 1300's and finds Seath Mor. He is the Laird of a Highland clan that is at war with another clan. She learns lots about the people and times of that period. Seath Mor is a prisoner, who has been tortured by them, Alana finds a way to help him get away and then helps him to a cottage in the forest where there is a set of helping hands. The healer takes them both in , healing his back and then sends them on a quest to find the 5 stones. They are the stones that she finds on his grave in the future. Both will have to depend on their magic to save him from dying in a few years. She knows who she wants but will need him to help her get there. So many differences that she gives up , the most is running water and a toilet but with the help of the magic and the 5 stones, she will get what she wants most, the love of her life. Has lots of action and magic in this story. Curl up and enjoy this story. Would strongly recommend to others. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a sweet, sentimental and satisfying story-- no real surprises, but it had vivid characters moving against a solidly depicted backdrop. Traditions were described smoothly and naturally, in the same tone and flow as the story itself; so, while interesting and informative, it avoids the pitfall of sounding like a dry medieval catalog of props and raiment.
